Manage and develop policies and procedures in relation to compliance culture across the businesses
Maintain a robust Compliance Programme in order to demonstrate continuous compliance with all regulatory and legislative obligations while supporting the Compliance Framework in its global entity
Support the maintenance of the compliance watch list in order to anticipate and manage new developments and ensure ongoing compliance with the requirements
Maintain the Company’s compliance reporting framework including Committee and Board reporting
Maintain up to date knowledge of key domestic regulation including Solvency II, Companies Acts, reinsurance regulations, relevant legislation and Group Guidelines
Develop a good understanding of national and international regulatory landscape and coordinate implementation of compliance requirements in its global entity. Support regulatory projects as required.
Maintain relevant compliance registers; propose enhancements where required.
Maintain Solvency II compliance reporting tool and prepare reports for Senior Management, the Audit Committee and the Board of Directors
Oversee the process mapping for each business area ensuring controls are in place for risks identified within
Assist the Head of Compliance with regulatory correspondence, regulatory visits, inspections and investigations
Maintain the Regulatory Correspondence log as required, and co-ordinate the provision of responses to correspondence in conjunction with the Head of Compliance and the Business.
Deliver compliance training to employees as required
Maintain a comprehensive breach framework, co-ordinate breach and incident reporting and provide reporting to the Operational Council
5+ years’ experience in a compliance role, ideally within the insurance or other financial services sector.
Third level qualification and ACOI Diploma in Compliance /working towards ACOI Diploma in Compliance
Have a good understanding of the compliance regulation in Ireland and other jurisdiction requirements an advantage
Highly organised and meticulous with excellent attention to detail with good presentation skills and excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to perform independent assessments in new situations and work to tight deadlines
Ability to communicate effectively and assertively, verbally and in writing, to clearly express logically reasoned ideas
Have ability to think clearly and assess matters quickly and to solve problems with the minimum fuss and time
Ability to make/take calculated decisions and to think forward and act accordingly Ability to influence Senior and Executive Management.
Reporting directly to the head of compliance this is an ideal opportunity for a Compliance Executive currently in a similar positon or looking to move from a legal position in to a more compliance based role with great international reach.
