The Role: 

  • Ensure compliance of the Company with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Develop, maintain, operate and monitor the adequacy and effectiveness of the measures, policies and procedures put in place to minimize any risk of failure by the Company to comply with its obligations under USITS and Central Bank of Ireland requirements
  • Advise the relevant persons responsible for carrying out services and activities and assisting them in complying with the Company’s obligations
  • Provide quarterly compliance reports to the Board of Directors covering various areas, including
    • Description of the implementation and effectiveness of compliance policies and procedures
    • Details of ongoing risks identified from the compliance monitoring activities, including Company and related risks
    • Details of changes in the regulatory environment and where applicable, the measures taken to ensure compliance with such changes under USiTS guidelines
    • Details of any significant compliance issues
  • Correspondence with regulatory authorities
  • Be the direct point of contact regarding compliance matters with clients, auditors, service providers and regulatory bodies
  • Manage and supervise, as applicable, compliance staff both locally and within other Company offices globally
  • Provide compliance related training sessions to all relevant staff as applicable and required
  • Assist in business development activities including the commercialization of the company.


The Person:

  • University degree in law and/or financial services; professional compliance certification is also advantageous
  • Previous experience as a senior compliance/legal professional within a Management Company and/or consultant and expert knowledge of USITS and regulatory compliance in the Asset Management Industry
  • Experience in managing a team of professionals and be able to prove strong Leadership & Competence experience
  • Strong Industry Knowledge
  • Multi-jurisdictional experience and working directly with regulators with Preference to international language’s speakers.
  • High level of professional integrity and authority
  • Commercially driven, to work in fast paced and dynamic environment and to think “outside the box”
  • Self-motivated, can work well both independently and in a team
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
